Never again only white gas from now on. In order to avoid rebuilding the model "B" which only has 1 hour on it. I used Sea Foam at my NAPA dealers suggestion. I didn't think I used too much but the 235 chocked out and will not start. AC R45 plugs looked like fuzzy charcoal. I wire brushed and used cleaner deep down. If this does not work I have access to spark plug sand blaster. Anyone have experience with Sea Foam? Will not start engine until I hear from a Bolter. Doc

I've used it in mine a time or two. Sta-Bil is probably better for gasoline (use that in my boat). Did you put the SeaFoam in the tank or fill the carb with it? If you can get the engine started (wire the choke open and crank with the throttle full open), you should be fine. You'll probably rid the neighborhood of mosquitoes for a little while.

I also put too much in the gas tank of a lawn mower and couldn't start it. I use Stabil over the winter in my boats and lawn mowers.
My favorite to use periodically in my '48 and wife's car is Chevron Techron. It's advertised as fuel injector cleaner but I think it must be good for carbs too. It's available at Costco so that's convenient. Chevron gasoline once had a good reputation because of the Techron in it.

As per the MSDS SEAFOAM is : Naphtha Pale oil IPA ( alcohol) So many of us use none ethanol fuel, so adding any alcohol seems anti productive ? You folks are the best. Tonight at about 11:00 if temp is below 89 I will do what klhasen advises. Should I crank it for about 30 seconds with the plugs out? Doc.
