Due to the cramped interior and steering column, the brakes are on the left side. You have to use both feet to drive the truck. The problem is the mounting of the brakes, makes you have to raise your leg and foot pretty high to use the brake. In stop and go traffic it gets tiresome. If I could rest the ball of my foot on the floor it would not be as bad!
I have seen several ads about electric brakes. Has anyone used them? Good, bad, indifferent?
I would appreciate any info or advice you may have!

There are some electric pumps for power brakes out there but they are very expensive & would not solve your problem. You might be able to adjust the linkage to bring the pedal down & then a stop to keep it from comeing back as far. Be careful you must have a little free play to keep the brakes from dragging. If it,s got an auto trans. you could put a larger pedal on it. I went to a wedding in Wharton many years ago. It was a quant city. We had a world of fun there.

I need to do some checking with the companies that make them!

They have some idea of making a completely "drive by wire" car-the pdals don't donnect to anything, all electrical. So far, they have not been sucsessfull. Seems that the brakes electricla componets have a high fail rate. The US will not even allow them to test on public roads here like they did in Europe.
