Hello, and Thank You for allowing me to come to your forum. I have a 76 Chevy C60, an early 47 GMC EC 252 (and negotiating on a 54 Chevy 6100). I am looking forward to the discussions and information sharing!
KC, welcome to the Stovebolt. Consider yourself at home now. Look around our site and get familiar with it. Guys here do not mind helping out. Ask questions in the garage forums and we'll do the rest. See you around the garage.
Welcome to the Stovebolt madness. There is no cure!

Here are the 2 that are rolling around here. Both need a little work, but it helps keep me busy.
I am not far from Licking, maybe an hour or so South. Near West Plains. I once lived North-East of Jefferson City (New Bloomfield) as well. It was a couple of hundred years ago though....
Nice looking trucks! Are you a logger? My Dad and Uncles logged around Licking back in the late 40's and 50's. Our mailing address is New Bloomfield and we live between New Bloomfield and Mokane.

oh no, I am not a logger. I am too lazy. Much of my family have logged over the decades, but when it came to me - I think they saw no hope.... I am retired from govt.
We lived in New Bloomfield in the early to mid 90's when I worked for the state. Nice quiet community.
Here is the 54 I am thinking about buying. We are $200 apart on price, but I suspect we may come together.
KC I will be sending you a PM! The harem needs to be thinned out!.

Yea... its been setting for a minute after a hard working life. He said he parked it in the field in 1980 when he got a newer truck. I had to haul it out of the woods. Mother nature can change everything in 40 years.
Keep us posted Lex, with pictures! We like pictures.

Welcome to the Stovebolt madness. You have some really cool trucks. Love the 47.1 GMC! The old 54 dump truck must have a had a full life of hard work. I hope you get it back on the road. I am also a MO native; I was born and grew up in the Southeast corner of the state about 5 miles from the Mississippi River. Way back in the 70's I attended UM-Rolla with some guys from Willow Springs. Spent quite a bit of time vacationing with family on Bull Shoals, Table Rock and Norfork Lakes. Beautiful country!
