I am happy with ride quality but would like disc breaks and power steering without a second mortgage. I have a friend that will sell me a coplete 83 1/2 front Ifs and power steering box, cheap. Has anyone done this swap on a 60-62 1/2 ton. Any better ideas? The frame is quite a bit different.
I don't know if its possible to swap just the spindles, but you might look into doing it that way.

I know the '60-'62 is significantly different than the '63 to '87 design.
But I don't know how different. Anyone know if the ball joints are the same?

The lower is completely different due to the different control arm used
for the tortion bars.
