Hello All,

i am looking for photograph or 2 of the factory installed decal on the top of the drivers side visor that is instructions for shifting the vacuum 2 speed rear end, i would like to have one remade for my new visor and mine is to badly damaged to get a good sample of. My truck is a 1959 GMC 9600 but would take anything close for comparison, i believe it is only for the vacuum shift trucks as it involves throttle placement etc.

Didn't know if Mongo was still around. Haven't heard from him in a while.

There are those "No Clutch" directions again.

My '62 6500 clearly stated to use the Clutch.

Although mine was an Electric Shift, I'm not sure if that made a difference or not.

This is what is on the 68 C50 Vacuum Shift

And a 80's Ford (I Know) Electric Shift.

I still use the clutch down shifting,
No clutch up shifting

I couldn't find the thread were this was debated.

The Chevy one doesn't really say either way (Clutch or no Clutch), but does say "See Owners Manual for Detailed Instructions", but the Ford one that you posted clearly states "Depress and Release Clutch" when Up-shifting anyway.

I use the Clutch all the time, lol.

I was surprised how vague it was compared to earlier and even later
GM trucks.

I use the clutch too when upshifting.

I think the reason for clutching upshifting is to help release the
Torque from being in low?

I have more decals./trucks around here need to get more Pic's.
