Seen your message in response to under bed tank. You put filler door in fender. Did you have to c-notch the frame and what gas tank did you use. Finally do you think same set up will work in my 1950 3100 ?????

yes the tank installs from the top with a c notch. the tank was not cheap from www.fatfenderedstreetrods.com arond 580.00with shipping. and the cap was 59.00 with another 59.00 for flanger it can be installed with out the flush flanger by surface mounting it. yes it will work on a 1950. ron

I installed one of those plastic fuel cells under my bed, behind the rear axle. The bottom of the tank sits a few inches above the bottom of the rear axle. The tank is about 18" from the rear bumper. With the -6 lines and fittings, filter, and mounting brackets, it probably cost me about $300-350.
