I’m not sure how the numbers and details on a Canadian compare to US built. But, you’ll notice that in 1950, manufacturers didn’t feel a need to paint TRUCK! On the side of it. Ha.😉

Steelonsteel: Heh, you noticed! Yes, a dump bed! It's a grain truck from a farm. As for the badge, it just has GMC without numbers and under it is a "3 TON" plate riveted on. When researching, I found that Canadian numbering was rather... different.
J Lucas: Not what I planned, but it was a good deal and got tired of not having my AD 'bolt. As for the bed, I have yet to measure it. It will be able to hold lots and might even "pay for itself"! Thanks! Alexander's Automotive Assortment- 1953 GMC 9700 3-ton**

Rich'sToys: Too bad GMC didn't use the name LOADMASTER.
Ecratrods: Oh, it's a work truck for sure! Got it from a farm and will continue working.
KEVINSKI: VAN! ...but eventually the 3 ton will be doing the heavy towing.
Achipmunk: For sure! Alexander's Automotive Assortment- 1953 GMC 9700 3-ton**
