Mike from Tallahassee. I have been a member for years but just used site as a resource. I own a 3/4 ton 54 gmc and a 1/2 ton gmc. I just purchased a 56 lcf 5700.
I am getting the lcf running and driving right now.
Over the next 3 year's I hope to redo the 54 gmc halfton.
Therefore thought I should introduce myself because I will have some questions and maybe can help others.
Thanks for the great site, Mike
Btw lightningtruck is what my kids named my 90 crewcab chevy.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

WELCOME to 'STOVEBOLT' for sure, Mike

and, I can "relate to having 3 Bolts"

(my trucks are 53 Internationals with all Chevy 'running gear - done back in the later 70's --

like , 1976 ... with a Frame swap == "pre-S 10 frame swaps == ).

Then, I also have "TWO 53 IH L-120 1/2 ton trucks" ..... I know the feeling ...

Glad to have you with us ..... jim

Thanks for the welcome!
I already have a million questions and comments.
Btw, Jim, i am from phx. So is my dad. He is 89.
My parents built a house in chino valley in 1980s. By the mountain west of town.
They lived there until about 10 years ago then moved back Tucson where they met.
I have been all over every inch of AZ. Love that place.
I also have a 72xj12, in 1998 i put an sbc drivetrain from a 91 vette in it.
Turns out my new 56 has an engine and trans swap too!
More to follow in BIG BOLT forum!
Thanks again! Mike
