I have an intake manifold that is on the old 69 GMC that I want to put the motor in. Will it fit the 91 motor, or do I have to get a different intake from Summit to fit? Also will the motor mounts and everything work when mount this sucker in the 69? But you have to do something to the center holes on the intake. The 91 motor is a one-piece rear main seal motor with center bolt valve covers. They're pretty close to being the same other than those differences (rear main seal and valve covers) and I think you can make an older manifold fit, but I've never tried it. If it was me, I'd get a new manifold for the newer style heads. The other option would be to keep the tbi...as long as you have the wiring harness and ECM. If it,s not an aluminum manifold I would get a new one. You will have to use the fywheel on the 91 or get an 87 up flywheel. You wiil need a dist. with vacuum advance.
