Is this a desireable set up, if going to Fentons from the stock set up?

This, as you can imagine is a very desirable piece. The last time I saw one for sale, and this is two years ago, was in the 4 bill range.
You can have one made out of your exhaust manifold by that guy out in Kansas (Kansas Kustoms?). See the inliners.org site for the email. regards, Cosmo.

Headers w/ hear riser | | | | | Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 4,095 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 4,095 | i just received my heat riser plate from langdons. but wouldn't that been a great thing on all of the fentons? still have to get bolts and i assume some kind of gasket. drove the 54/3100 yesterday and it almost ran. back fired and buck like a new stick shift driver behind the wheel. i blew a new muffler out a couple of weeks ago the same way, it was only 3 months old. ron

| | | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 279 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 279 | I think that those are the originals,not the ones they make now.I bought a 50 Chev Deluxe a few years ago(gave to my father and he still has it)from the original owner and it had those same headers w/ heat riser.The Previous owner told me that he had them installed in 1961.

Ever notice the 2 different gasket flanges on Fenton Chevy headers? One is for a donut gasket and the other side is flat.
The flat side is for a heat riser plate that would mount between the pipe and header flange.

SIt worked great, the car held national m.p.h. and e.t. records in 1954 NHRA at Pomona, Ca.
