New to the forum, been out of the scene for about 30 years serving our country.
It’s been cars in the past, now my first truck. Just bought into a ‘53 3100. Looking forward to jumping into the pool and breathing life back into it!

Tony, Thanks for your service and wishes for a great retirement............working on trucks!!
The Advance Design is a popular model and many parts are available. Great guys here with lots of knowledge. We also have some other members from Alaska. I can think of Homer and a few more. Watch for them. You may be closer than you think.

Oh, Welcome to the Stovebolt............and for help, just ask your questions in the garage forums and we'll do the rest. Good luck.

Thank you for the welcoming! This type of forum thing is a bit foreign to me so I apologize up front should I screw up in any manner. Here’s a few pics:

Tony, thank you for your service. I can't think of a better retirement project. My retirement project is a '51 3100 restomod. Are you thinking of a restoration or a restomod? Either way, I'm sure you will enjoy it. Best of luck!

Clarsen3100, I'm not looking to do a complete restoration. My initial goal is to make it stop and go safely, fix the cancer holes and most likely convert to 12 volt. I'm sure as I go along the way I'll get distracted and end up doing so much more. I'm not knowledgeable enough to convert to a V-8 with tranny married to a different rear end kind of thing.

ouch! telephone pole normally wins! Mine has a 440 in it at the moment. I wish I had just built a 318, it would go a little farther between gas stations!
