I'm hoping to successfully attach a photo of my truck. I've owned it for 46 years, bought it when I was 15, and still has original powertrain and no mechanical modifications except for an engine re-build in 1975.
The paint on the cab, doors and hood is the original only repaint done by the previous owner in 1968. Between 1974 and 1978 while I was a starving University student I managed to repair and paint the fenders and box plus re-plate the chrome. During this time in a creative mood I added the woody trim, and most liked it so it remains until today and I have gotten very used to it but always wonder if I should someday take it off.
My post options indicates 1 File Attached, but it doesn't show up in the preview, but I'm sending this anyway.

Looks good! I see no problem with leaving it on there; but it's your truck.

Great looking truck, and the wood makes it look very unique.

It may not be original, but it is tastefully done and looks great. As mentioned, it's your truck; I think I would leave it!

Looks great. I really like it. The only trouble I see is if it is exposed to the weather; rain, snow. It could rust behind the wood. The Dodge Li'l Red Express Trucks had that problem.

Without going into your "creative mood during your college days" (because I went to college around that time too :D), looks like you did a fantastic job! I say leave it the way it is. It's just part of your long history with the 46 and works really well!
