I'm hoping to successfully attach a photo of my truck. I've owned it for 46 years, bought it when I was 15, and still has original powertrain and no mechanical modifications except for an engine re-build in 1975. The paint on the cab, doors and hood is the original only repaint done by the previous owner in 1968. Between 1974 and 1978 while I was a starving University student I managed to repair and paint the fenders and box plus re-plate the chrome. During this time in a creative mood I added the woody trim, and most liked it so it remains until today and I have gotten very used to it but always wonder if I should someday take it off. My post options indicates 1 File Attached, but it doesn't show up in the preview, but I'm sending this anyway.
Looks great. I really like it. The only trouble I see is if it is exposed to the weather; rain, snow. It could rust behind the wood. The Dodge Li'l Red Express Trucks had that problem.
Without going into your "creative mood during your college days" (because I went to college around that time too :D), looks like you did a fantastic job! I say leave it the way it is. It's just part of your long history with the 46 and works really well!
