Are the Aldersons going to have their private show/BBQ Friday evening?

The Aldersons want to do an event. Would more people rather do Thursday or Friday night?

Thanks Scott for the info.
There is nothing going on at the show Friday evening.
Vicki and I will be unloading/setting up HQ Friday afternoon.
Help would be greatly appreciated.
But let everyone else chime in here to get a poll going to the Alderson's.

For those who have never attended the private Alderson's collection.
It is really a treat! Their private collection of everything motor related is not seen by many.

So those who will be at the Reunion, and those that have been to the Alderson's, please speak up on what evening to enjoy their hospitality.

Yes Terry, Vicki will bake her cookies again.

Went the first time last year. The Alderson's hospitality is unmatched. Any evening is a good time to be there though Friday would be better for me.

I will be there Thursday and will help with Friday setup. Either night would be fine with me. I could drive slower on Thursday if it is Friday and maybe save some gas. wink

OK Scott, let the Alderson's know Friday evening will work better.
The show schedule has nothing planned on Friday, but we can start setting up Friday afternoon.
Then do their open house.

As an added surprise for the Alderson's, Vicki and I will see if we can get Bill Alderson's HS coach to join us.
Bill Suma and his wife Peggy, both taught Bill and Patty Alderson in high school.
They are staying not far from the Alderson ranch.
Don't tell them he may be there, but Patty remembered them both last year.

Thanks
Don

Thanks Scott!
Vicki and I will plan on being there, hopefully before 6pm.
She will also have cookies to bring. That should drag Terry and Gloria out of Iowa?

Rusty Rod plans on being in KC sometime friday, hopefully early enough to help with the setup. He does have school work to attend to that will probably interfere with any festivities.

Another quality post.

Yep
Looks like it may be a rainy weekend.
Rain gear is strongly recommended.

But the show will go on!!!

Good evening all. As a first timer to the Midwest All Truck Nationals and Stovebolt Reunion, I would like to know more about the Alderson family get together. As a collector, I'm sure I would enjoy the evening and would like to meet them. I'm from Basehor, Ks and I work in Kansas City down on Front street. Is the Alderson event something I could attend or is it strictly a private event? If I'm able to attend, what is the plan on getting there? I do not know where it is held. I seen it was mentioned above about a caravan going. I'm thinking of driving my '53 GMC to work Friday morning and then driving straight to Riverside(about a 10 minute drive) or I can drive to the Alderson place if I knew of an address. Either way, sounds like a neat evening if I'm able to attend.
