I have always loved Chevy 6s, and have owned several, starting with a 1951 in high school. My passions are old Chevy trucks and old Indian motorcycles. I restored my 1940 half ton several years ago, and still drive it regularly. My daily driver is a 1969 C20 with a 250 engine. My current project is a 1953 half ton which probably belongs in a scrap yard, but I'm gonna try to get it back on the road anyway. I'm far from an expert, and certainly not a pro, but have always tried to do my own work on the old vehicles. I'm excited about tapping into the collective knowledge and experience on this site, and hope that I can someday contribute an idea or two of my own. I'm not really opposed to mods and customs, but as for me I try to keep everything stock and original as possible.

Best of luck with your new project. I am on the original side of the fence as opposed to the resto mod and I just love the old, rough and noisy trucks. Post some pictures of your new project. You can post photos directly into some of the forums, but not all. Look on the left side of the page where it says "Image Posting Policy". In the full editor there is a button that allows you to attach a file. You could attach your pictures. Is there any way to set up so that you automatically get an email or text whenever one of your posts receives a reply. Some forums have this feature and I like it a lot, but I don't see that as an option here.
