Hy guys, just to let you know, I'm in the hospital. It would appear my triple bypass of twelve years ago is all plugged up again. Because of complications the surgeons want more information from a special CAT scan which will hopefully be done this week. Once they have all the info they will take me down to Royal Columbian to discuss the options and hopefully they can fix the problems. I hate that this problem has ruined all my plans for the summer! Berni brought me in a laptop confusilator that I am trying to learn to use. I hope everyone else is doing well. Regards Bobb

Hang in there- - - -my two stents from 20-something years ago seem to be holding up OK, at least according to my annual visit with my cardiologist. Good luck with whatever procedure they decide on, and keep us in the information ;loop!

Holy smoke 3B get that ticker worked out. This certainly has been a bad summer of BC Bolters and health issues. Keep us posted on how things are going and hope Bernie brings you non-hospital food. That was the one weak link in the system.

Boyd, great to hear from you. I get bits and pieces here and there and I've procrastinated calling Sue.
Prayers from the Parris' will continue your way. For what its worth, they can do wonderful things these days. My stents, and later the by passes serve me well. You can lick this but patience is something us men folks don't understand........but we try!

EDIT: well I showed how awake I am. Got Boyd and Bobb mixed up...to many "B's". I will leave my comments above as they are sincere thoughts for Boyd and Sue.

However, Bobb, same considerations for you my friend. Prayers for you and those who attend and care for you. At least try to relax. All those trucks will be waiting for you when you get healed up.

Hy Guys, thanks for the good wishes, trust me to have the complicated situation that requires committee decisions and extra tests before repairs are attempted! I'm afraid to burp, I have so much nitro in my system I might blow my head off if I do! So better topic, Britcon is your beautiful truck back together and motoring down the road?

Hey Bobb᠁᠁..the '40 is indeed back on the road. Have about 500 easy miles on the new motor, so I need to get it back in the shop for an oil change,& re-torque.

Had to buy a larger carb for the new motor - the motor guy couldn't get the old Edelbrock tuned on his Dyno - he changed out jets and fiddled for a couple of hours, but could not stop it from going bad lean as soon as you blipped the throttle. Anything over 2000 rpm was an issue. I picked up a Holley 680 which was the one recommended by GM Performance.

On the plus side, new motor has a ton more torque - I see a new set of tires in my future !

Feel better / keep us posted

Bobb, hope the process goes well and soon, but you're on the hospital schedule now. I am hoping you don't have to spend too much time in the hospital.

Hy Guys, well I had my special CAT scan today next I have to have a cardiac MRI, that will have to be done at Royal Columbian Hospital and no body knows when that may be. So things are moving along, slowly but surely. I feel okay no chest pain for a couple of days. I will do my best to keep you all in the loop, I hope everyone is in better shape than me and thank you for the good wishes. Regards Bobb

Hi Bobb, hope that your procedures happen soon so that you can put the pedal to the metal.

Hy Achipmunk and guys, yes Alvin I'm smiling frustrated but still smiling. I hope Victoria is doing well, we want to see you both out here again! Bernie seems to be fine, it is too hot around here in the daytime for her to ride her horses, so she comes over to visit me and hang out in the somewhat air conditioned atmosphere for a while. Thanks everyone for the good wishes

Hy guys, here is the latest, no cardiac MRI, probably over to Royal Columbian on Monday for PCI therapy (stints) if the stints won'/don't work then I will have to be treated with medication for the rest of my life as the CAT scan revealed there was insufficient room in my chest for arterial graft bypasses.

So to put it in Grease monkey language, they are putting a sleeves in the fuel line ! Must be the darn ethanol they put in the Gas these days ?

Suspect the " Mechanics " charge rate is slightly beyond what you pay at the Mercedes / BMW shop !

Best wishes Bobb.

Hy Guys, well I'm back from my procedure and as you may have guessed I am not in a box. They put three stents in one of my original arteries that was bypassed twelve years ago. If all goes well with overnight monitoring I may be released from hospital tomorrow, albeit with probably a short leash. Thank you all for your good wishes! Regards Bobb

That sounds really good. A short leash is okay if they take you for walks! Did they lap the valves too! I found this video online. Is this basically what they did? Pretty cool they can do that. https://www.webmd.com/heart/video/coronary-angioplasty-stenting

Great news, Bobb. All the best for a speedy recovery. I think getting out of the hospital and getting home is a big part of the recovery.

So happy to hear you're back home and doing much better, Bobb᠁
I hope the new "parts" they put in have at least a 30 year warranty... with all the old metal you have at your place awaiting repair you're going to need at least that long to get all your trucks finished! wink

Take care, my friend... hope to visit soon!
