For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2018 Posts: 11 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2018 Posts: 11 | Hello everyone
I'm in Birmingham AL and I recently brought down my grandfather-in-law's truck, he bought it off the lot in 1953...
I had thought all of it was original, but apparently it had a new engine in the sixties and possibly a transmission replacement in the 80's.. From what I've seen so far I think it's a 60's era 235 (which is great news from what I've read) unsure about the transmission though..
I'm excited to start this journey! :)
I'll update this with some pictures...
Oh! he also at some point later on in it's life, used it to haul barrels (55 gallon steel drums) to sell in his front yard... so he added lots of "stuff" to the bed to facilitate that... I think I've finally removed all of it

Welcome to the site, I agree it's nice to inherit an old truck with some connection to its history. Good luck with it.
