Hello to all the Vets. I served from 1969 to 1971 and was on the USS Bausell, DD-845. Did a tour in Viet-Nam as gunfire support and following the aircraft carriers around. I did see a lot of the world though. Would not trade the experience for nothin'.

Hi
I served on the USS Montrose APA 212 from 65 to 68. Made 1&1/2 tours to westpac. Mostly taking Marines from Okinawa, doing amphibious landings and being the mother ship for some of the Riveron patrol boats in Viet-Nam. I got to see lots of the world that I would not have seen otherwise. It was one of the better things that has happened to me.

Hi, 65-69 Ping jockey/Bubblehead, loved San Diego so much they sent me East, after Sub School assigned USS Abe Lincoln SSBN 602 in Electric Boat for overhaul. Made a fabulous shake down cruise down the East coast, tested the Polaris missle then it was patrols North of Arctic Circle. Lost some friends on Scorpion in '68. Member USSVI and VFW.
Cheers
Jim

First and foremost Tophat...thank you for your service. My old man was a Navy man...Korea...an Aviation Electrician. I was hellbent on the Navy in 1973, but at the last minute opted to enlist in the U. S. Coast Guard and never looked back. 1973-1994. Retired.
