Posted in the Big Bolt Forum already, but 69Cuda moderator advised to check in here also to say Howdy. I rebuilt a 53 3100 as well as several other vehicles over the years. Now retired from drilling oil and gas wells and have time and tools to get a bit more involved now. The 1950 6400 is now completely torn down over the last month and a half. I'm amazed at how everything is either broken or simply worn out. I commented today that the only things still functioning are the inner tubes in the tires ... they still hold air. The needed parts list is getting long and I'm getting worried how much money this is going to cost, I suppose its a labor of love. Good that I work cheap. Big learning curve here, hope to add a little advice and experience to others desiring this same fate as I've undertaken.

Upstream, welcome to the Stovebolt and don't worry about the small stuff. Boters here are more than willing to share information and step outside of their circle if need be. There are a lot of forums here designed to help you with about any problem you have.............and even lend a listening ear when you need one, or a shoulder to lean on.
Watch for other bolters from Texas....otherwise known as "the Texas Connection". They are many here.
Good luck, and never, never let anyone tell you that you can't do it. Knowledge is the Best Resource and lots of here.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.

Welcome to the site, glad to have you check in. You are right, it is a labour of love. We do it for the enjoyment. Good luck with the 6400.
