But my opinion...thats a perty flat area and depending how large of an area needs repaired, cutting out the area that needs replaced would be easier then drilling out all those spot welds. There's other people in here who may have better insight with this. Hoped this helped.

The assembly manual makes it look like you would have to take the entire upper inner metal out. The part joined around the window frames. THe lower cab back is overlapped pretty good with all the upper pieces. Any thoughts? | | | | | | Anonymous Unregistered | | Anonymous Unregistered | I have performed this transplant on my 54. I drilled out all the spot welds on the sides and bottom and then cut just south of the belt line. I then welded as 1/16" thick backing strip to the inside of the remaining belt line area material and used this to weld the top seam of the panel.
