I bought it some years ago from a fellow Bolter for my '59 when I opted to install an SM-420 Transmission. It fit onto the floor but didn't match up to the gear shift location. Also, the gas pedal holes were cross ways and it doesn't have a hump. It's like the flat type for a column shift light duty truck. I suspect it came from a big bolt truck but not sure what. Can anyone help please? I'm putting it up for sale and just need to identify it. See pics. Thank you. Pic-1Pic-2Jerry

If so, the flat cover versus hump style would be correct for it? Tim, I bought the cover for my '59 truck when I switched over from 3'sp column with an SM-318 to a 4 speed on the floor. The seller couldn't tell me what it came out of and I bought it from the pictures, based on the shifter hole and E-Brake slot since I have an E-Brake on the SM-420. I acquired some learning from that. First, that a humped version of the cover was required for my SM-420! I just need to get this cover out of my garage and wanted to identify it properly.
I'd love to see a pic of this type of cover used with the "Powermatic" and E-Brake in a big bolt. Does anyone have one they could share?
Thanks again! Jerry | | |
