When the wheel is on the fluid runs down and behind the wheel. As of right now I have the wheel and drum off the driver side. I don't know if there is a seal on that side of the axle that is bad and I need to replace or what. If anyone has any ideas or information about this, that would be really helpful. | | | | Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 Riding in the Passing Lane | Riding in the Passing Lane Joined: Jun 2004 Posts: 8,597 | Yes. There is a seal in the hub. You need to pull the hub/drum off to replace it. Read up on pulling the hub. There has been plenty of talk on this website about it. Do a search. Find repair manual & read up. This is not for the faint of heart. If not done right severe damage to the axle & hub will result. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. When I but a new ring and pinion set to make my truck go a bit quicker. And for me it's just the driver side. And thank you to all who have helped me this was really helpful!!
Best of luck!
