I just got a 54 3800 from California the truck is solid with very little rust, one little pinhole in a cab corner and a small spot on the passenger floor board. The truck has been converted to 12v and cranks very well. My plan is to source a proper bed and make is a half ton driver, probably with a mII kit and on old 327 i have hanging around. The "bed" that is in place will be made in to a trailer to pull behind my father in laws 1953 m37.

Welcome to the STovbolt David and thanks for the pictures. You will save a lot of money by your truck being solid. We're here to help with anything you need. See you around the garage forums.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
