It appears that the universal joint from the '37 will not mate with the flange of the '41 transmission.
Question: Is the output shaft of the transmissions the same? Will the flange from the '37 3 speed slip onto the splines of the '41 shaft?
Unfortunately, we do not have access to the '37 3 speed flange today. Hence the question. If they won't fit we have to begin looking at other options.

My '37 half ton project came with a 4 spd in it, an option for that year. You can make it work with the correct u joint assembly.
My '42 half ton has the same 4 spd in it and I blew the u joint, tearing up the yoke that attaches to the output shaft of the tranny. I had a heck of a time finding a u joint assembly for that application and during the process inadvertently bought a u joint that fit the 3 spd. The out put shafts are different as the 4 spd has a larger beefier diameter. I am guessing it will be the same for your situation.
Look at Keith Hardy's Old Chevy Manual site, find the correct u joint part number and keep checking Ebay or your other sources for old parts. I think you will find one eventually.
