I can not figure out where to put it,or how. How is everyone doing this. I run a 235 ith 4 0n the floor so I can not obstruct the brake and clutch levers, and it just isn't the right shape to mount just above the master cylinder conversion bracket so as to place it in the original master filling spot. | | | | Joined: Jul 2014 Posts: 333 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2014 Posts: 333 | I've seen them mounted on the firewall where a firewall-mounted master cylinder would go. | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | ditto what Echo says. On the firewall. Most of them are kind of small anyway and shouldn't be a problem or in the way. | | | | Joined: Sep 2014 Posts: 385 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2014 Posts: 385 | I like this guys option. Beats $110 plus ship. | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 3,750 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 3,750 | You can buy a VW style or Passat firewall mount dual reservoir for $13-$25 and add inlets to a stock MC lid. The only issue I haven't addressed is on my M/C,the gasket is a one piece affair that covers the whole of the top of the reservoir,i'm not sure if it would be OK to open it up to allow fluid entry from the cover. 1950 Chevy Advance Design 3100 in ScotlandIn the Stovebolt GalleryMore pix on Flickr. The aftermarket kits still uses a bail to hold the cover but have a thicker gasket. Look at pictures of their kit. Gasket is open in the middle. The MC will always be full all the way up to reservoir, so a good seal is No. 1. I really don't see why there has to be a dual remote, two hoses running down to MC. The two MC chambers will flow into each other? | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 3,750 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 3,750 | The MC will always be full all the way up to reservoir, so a good seal is No. 1.
