Is there any interest in getting together next summer? It's not too early to start planning.
If there is enough interest I would look into planning an event.

It's been a while since I made my initial posting, and I was hoping to get a little more feed-back, but I think I will start looking into planning a small (one day) get-together. I attend a local cruise night here and you would be surprised how many Chevy trucks are just in this immediate area, many of those are not all on-line!
I was thinking of contacting the local automotive museum about holding an event there. They often have what I call "parking lot shows" clubs and groups. If things work out, I will post new information as it becomes available.
I would still like to hear feed-back and ideas!

Just an update - Next week I am checking on a possible location for a get-together next summer. I will keep everyone posted when there is any news.

I just got back from a meeting at a possible location for a Wisconsin gabfest, and while there are details to be worked out, things are moving along!
More details will be announced as they become available!
Always looking for ideas and feed-back.
Happy New Year!

I just bought a transmission in Brodhead, WI, very south and central WI. I may be seeing you boys or ask for a pick up and transfer as I'm down here in Virginia.
Regards,
Cosmo

The final details are still being worked out, but the gabfest will be held at the parking lot of the Wisconsin Auto Museum ( http://wisconsinautomuseum.com/) in Hartford, WI, on Saturday, August 20th. More information will be announced as it becomes available. Also it is located in downtown Hartford which has great little shops and restaurants for the whole family to enjoy. Camping and Pike lake are also nearby. The more trucks we gather together the better, bring your projects, we want to see them all. See ya there. http://wisconsinautomuseum.com/

Once you get stuff worked out, can you post this in the regular Events forum, too with a link back to here (maybe). This way everyone can "collect" and check in at one place.
I know between the Events, Side Lots and Hot Wash, it's a little discombobulating ... but we are working on it.
Thanks, Peg

I have added it to the calendar! So far, the truck hasn't traveled further than 57 miles from home, so this 70 miler would break the record. I look forward to it.
Keep us posted and let us know how we can help.

Check out the pictures from this past weekend. http://s160.photobucket.com/user/stovebltr/library/2016/Homecoming%202016?sort=2&page=1Plus read all the threads on the event. I'll talk to the Redhead tonight to try to figure out our summer plans and will let you know. Thanks for promoting this event. The unplesant part is I have kind of fallen back into the tractor pulling game and will be in Hamburg NY on Sat. Bummer. I guess I am "semi-retired" now and have been so busy I have not been able to get the truck out of storage yet, maybe next week!!

Sorry to hear that you can't make it. Maybe if all goes OK, we will see you next year.
Wally and I are making plans and spreading the word about the gabfest. We are hoping to get a good turnout!

We are hoping for a great turnout this year and if it works out well we will do it again next year. Local drive in restaurant will be at the event supplying food and ice cream. A few local restoration shops will have something there to look at. This event will be a lot of fun. BE THERE ! Wally wbecker@nconnect.net

While attending a local car shoes yesterday, I met another 'Bolter! It is always great to met other 'Bolters face-to-face, and that's what the Gabfest is all about!

I was out again today at the Car Craft event in Milwaukee spreading the word about our upcomming event. I met several 'Bolters and was encouraged by the response I got. It seems the word is spreading!
Wally and I are always looking for ideas and comments on how we can make this event successful!
Just to let you know, we are having Mickey's frozen custard at the event, and there are several restaurants, and shops within easy walking distance! | | | | Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 82 Crusing in the Passing Lane | Crusing in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2010 Posts: 82 | Getting closer to this fun event, who is planning on coming? It looks like rain on Saturday the 20th but never fear, we have the Museum to hide in if it gets too bad. The Wisconsin Auto museum is a large and great venue so we hope to have a great turnout no matter the weather.
