Sorry but I can't see anything in any detail behind the Yuuge ad that covers the screen when I try to view photos at that place...

door channel i took out old channel and it was metal with tabs on it. i bought new channel from chevy parts and it don't fit inside old metal channel. if u click on the pic, it should show u

The new channel is not supposed to fit in that old metal channel. It replaces that old piece.
The old channel is missing all of the "felt" which use to be in it.
The new channel does not come with the metal tabs.

52Carl nailed it for you. The new channel is secured with an adhesive around the top of the window opening and most likely a front and rear channel retainer (lower glass run posts) that the new channel clips into, at least that's how it's installed on the 3100.

ok carl, i got u. i was hoping i coulsd put it in old channel because it just clips on edges. so much easier than putting weather strip adhevsive

last ? does the new channel go in with weather strip adhesive or glue

I've seen threads that refer to weather strip adhesive and glue. This link to JC refers to glue. It appears the PO of my truck used weather strip adhesive and it seems to hold just fine.

Here's a link to a thread in the Doors sub-forum that speaks to the use of small screws.....

I'm doing the doors in the 48 2 ton right now, and plan to use the tiny screws that the original had to hold in the upper window frame. Maybe a bead adhesive in the corners and the lower tracks.
