Hi All, New to the site. Recently acquired a 1955.1 3100 that a PO started a restoration on, and then put away.
My father has a 1953 1/2 ton panel, and has recommended I check out this site. Love the amount of information available. I'm hooked.
I'm sure it will be a huge resource to help complete the 55'.
Currently I have a 1971 GMC 2500 in my shop for a freshen up to sell, followed by a 49' tonner panel.
It's going to be a busy winter!

Your father gave some good advice. Welcome to the Stovebolt. Sounds like some interesting vehicles and good projects. We are all here to help. Just be sure to ask questions in the most appropriate garage forum for plenty of help.
There are quite a few bolters from NY and I've notice quite a few from "upstate" NY. Watch for them.
Take some time to get to know the site. Check out the tech tips, gallery photos and the links. Its all good here.

Hello, Freddy

I'm 7 miles south of Albany.

Non NYers might not know that Upstate NY encompasses Yonkers to Plattsburg to Erie/Buffalo.

If you are close to Albany, contact me if you need help.

Thanks everyone for the welcome!
I should have been more specific with my location.
(Fort Johnson).. About 30 minutes west of Albany.
I'll see if I can edit my location.
Thanks Tim, My father lives around the corner from you, and has mentioned how beautiful your Suburban is.
I'll be sure to post some pictures of the projects as they come along.
Thanks again!

Welcome!
Is your father a member of this site also? If so, what is his handle?

Freddy518,

I have met your father - he is nice guy who knows these trucks. He has a very impressive A-D panel truck with open drive shaft and 3-speed with over-drive (and he has a Blue Chip GMC).

I enjoy talking with him. He did say he was most likely moving closer to his son. Please say "hello" to Fritz.

Hello, Steve,

The "Island" is a beautiful place. But, getting on/off is a pain.

However, a good friend has family on the eastern-end (fisher men/women) and they find the ferry to be a good deal.

Best regards,
