Kept it in place during the rebuild. Went to install the motor, removed the clip and put it in a Safe Place. Motor is in, clip is nowhere to be found.
Wish I could find "Safe Place", must be hundreds of things stored there. | | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 165 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 165 | Glad it's just not me. Lord knows what's in my safe place. Last week I put my brand new oil transfer pump in the trash can, to let the remaining drops of oil go onto paper towels in the bottom of the can. Yesterday I donated it to a landfill. Kevin

As I get older, I've noticed I do the same stupid thing. Now I try to remember to say (inside voice usually) "now you just stay right there until I come back for you". This usually helps me remember where I put it... if "it" listens! | | | | Joined: Sep 2015 Posts: 17 New Guy | New Guy Joined: Sep 2015 Posts: 17 | I was slowly taking the door panel off the truck when one of the small round clips shot off into the black Abbis of the garage. I searched and searched for days. Couldn't find it So had to make one up. Not easy but I did it. Yup you guest it. I found it. Tucked in a small gap in the handle of the plastic box that we store to be recycled bottles. On the bright side, I now have a spare that I will never need.

Works better for slinging rare, hard to find small parts throughout the shop, never to be seen again. Carl
