I peeled the chrome away from the rusted areas but I'm not sure of the best way to repair it. I'm not going to do a full restoration so it doesn't have to be perfect. The chrome is really thick and leaves a ridge where I have removed it. I'm thinking Ospho, primer, and paint. May need plastic filler first though. I reattached a piece of chrome that pealed off of my bumper with Super Glue. Ain't beautiful, but better than nothing. Mine wasn't rusted as badly as yours.

How about just stripping the entire bumper before painting? I've painted some pieces with Chrome Paint that actually looked better than a patch and for the money its decent. Another way would be to strip and have powder coated. I'm going to patch the bumper with chrome paint, if it is perfect that will be good. If it is not perfect that will be even better it is a farm truck after all!
