Do the grills from a 2 ton fit a 1/2 ton? These are 1946 Chevy I am talking about. I was looking for a grill, ad a guy called me last night and said he had a perfect one in a 2 ton. Problem is it is a 3 hour drive to look at it, just want to know if it is the same or not.

I am not 100% on this but I believe they are the same, I got parts off of a 1 1/2 ton and it is the same, I would think the 2 ton would be the same. Dave

I've always been told the only difference on the whole front clips of 1/2 to 2 ton was the fenders (except for COE's). Anybody else?

I have a 52 2 ton and some other smaller trucks, I do know the fenders and hoods are bigger. I have started working on getting the front clip back on and have noticed the splash pans that go in front of the radiator are the same width but are longer front to back. I think the grills are a little bigger on the 2 tons also.

52 - I think you are correct for a 1952

As I recall the bars themselves are the same but the support posts, etc are longer on the 2 ton.

Grill is the same, only fenders are not. I've gotten lots of great parts off the big truck for my '46 ie. windshield, hoods, HD radiator, dual horns etc etc.

Ok guess the earlier ones are a bit different, I stand corrected or something. Think I missed the part where the OP said it was a 46 so not an AD. Learned something for sure.
