Pre-Huck brake parts are hard to find, just like the 1-ton drums. I had my shoes relined. Quality relining is usually cheaper than new shoes and still provides the same stopping power, assuming the rest of the brake system is operating correctly.

Scored a set of NOS 1 Ton Huck shoes about 3 or 4 yrs ago for 60.00 with shipping still in the deteriorating G M box.

P.S. As an add on,I kept My old huck cores and am having them relined at a shop that I deliver to 3 or 4 times a week with my job.

I had my front cores relined in 2011 here in Minneapolis, two day turn around time and the total bill was $50.00. Your basically starting with new shoes agian. | | |
