on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! I find at looking at the colour photos that cars and trucks had much more variation in design and colour schemes than they do today. I hope you enjoy. Travel Old BC

I like the hanging cigarette and it's message! Is the big wooden head still around I wonder? I thought of these pictures all the way. Driving through the tunnels and along the Canyon Hwy, passed the Alexandria Bridge and the old hotel, going through Yale. | | | | | Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall | | Moderator: Welcome Centre, Southern Bolters, Legion Hall Joined: Dec 2001 Posts: 14,522 | | | | | | Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 843 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 843 | Paul,if the Big wooden head is the thing with the eyes and teeth. I think I read that it was made by a security guard or night watchmen who saw a stump that looked like a head so he just embellished it and put a hat on it. I also think it was moved because of a dam that would have submerged it. You can walk on it, but the barricades are a bit much to get a truck over. Or, a big motorcycle, for that matter. I've tried: Wanted a pic of my scooter in the middle of that span.
Boyd, Hank Suderman was about as British Columbian as they come. Any old BC trucker could tell you that. He sure liked them big trucks, and he used that camera real good. Eh? 1951 3800 Be the change you want to see. -hotshoe
