Davey Lovett, 62, passed away on February 9, 2015. He resided in the Alvaton community, Meriwether County, GA. He is survived by his parents, Marian and J. C. Lovett, and his brothers, Pat Lovett (Mary Ann) and Lynn Lovett (Patricia). A graveside service will be held at Inman Methodist Cemetery at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, February 14, 2015, with Rev. That's so sad. Davey was truly one of the 'Bolt characters. I never met him, but I understand from his posts here that he was a kind and generous person, with a quirky sense of humor. He will be sorely missed.

Just darn! Like Jim Bow wrote "truly one of the 'Bolt characters." Well, I hope he's up there somewhere trading stories with Bullfoot.

Well, we are sorry to hear this. Davey would do "odd jobs" here on the site now and again. So, we had talked on the phone a few times. He had an interesting life. Now, we never talked football ... but he seemed very into his family, which is great.

For those who may not know, this was his Gallery story, a 1967 Chevrolet 1/2-Ton Pickup. He sent the story in back in 2006.

Thanks for posting this Fred.

So sad to hear this.
From what I can gather it all happened rather quickly.

RIP Davey.

I have not been on here in a while, years really, had not heard this news. Guys like Davey are not common in our lives. He and I worked together on a couple things years back and I really enjoyed his stories and thoughts on life. We had some fun BS sessions and I wish I had known sooner that he was gone. He sure kept life interesting.

Rest In Peace my friend.

Kyle
