I'm installing a new power booster brake set up on my 53 GMC 1/2 ton KEEPING ORIGINAL BRAKE PETAL I need the shaft retaining clip that holds the spring assembly and brake petal on shaft.Clutch petal replaced with spacer. Does anyone know what I can use for this ,shaft is 15/16.

The manual calls the clip a pin lock
Part number 359380
...click...

You will have to do some research. But chevs of the 40s offers a similar clip for large truck brakes
Part number 359380
...link...

This is not listed as the clutch/brake pin lock
It may or may not work

If someone has a brake/clutch pin lock removed maybe they can measure the o.d if its 1 3/16 its probably the same part?

Otherwise maybe try a e clip

....and let me add a large snap ring will even work if you find one that big.
