I am not sure exactly what it is, since I don't have a lot of experience (I have rebuilt 2 sportbikes, 1 dirt bike, and partially rebuilt a 1957 Buick Roadmaster).
So far, I know there is a 3835913 on the head, that it has a floor shift transmission, and that is about it. It may have been converted to 12v, but I do not know how to check for this.
I would appreciate any help in getting the correct information for this truck in order to find the correct parts.
My plan is to do the brakes (master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shoes, lines) and then see if I can get it running. After that, I hope to invest in a welder (please provide suggestions) and do a few patch panels.

You can check out the various forums here to see where best to post all these questions. Try the tool chest, for instance, about a welder.
There are quite a few here from the lone star state, you even have a separate forum, the Texas bolters.
Good luck with your progress and maybe you can get a pic or two posted.

Leo I right about posting your questions in the most appropriate forums for the maximum results.
...since I don't see any questions you have post in the forums yet I will offer one bit of advice...or my opinion.
Why spend the money on the brake system before you get it running. My motto is get it to GO and then to WHOA. No use in spending money on brakes until you know its running.....you may get it running to only find you need to do more to the truck before you ever get to ride in it...just my opinion.
There are lots of bolters in the "Texas Connection" so watch for them.
