I'm very excited to start on my most recent project: 1953 GMC Truck. I am not sure exactly what it is, since I don't have a lot of experience (I have rebuilt 2 sportbikes, 1 dirt bike, and partially rebuilt a 1957 Buick Roadmaster).
So far, I know there is a 3835913 on the head, that it has a floor shift transmission, and that is about it. It may have been converted to 12v, but I do not know how to check for this.
I would appreciate any help in getting the correct information for this truck in order to find the correct parts.
My plan is to do the brakes (master cylinder, wheel cylinders, shoes, lines) and then see if I can get it running. After that, I hope to invest in a welder (please provide suggestions) and do a few patch panels.
