After a lifelong dream of owning a 54 Chevy truck, I have finally made the purchase I have dreamed of. I looked for years only to find a bucket of rust, or a truck out of budget. I look forward to getting to know some of you as I go through my journey of learning the nuts and bolts of these old trucks.

The 54, with its one piece windshield is a fine looking truck and lots of part are available for it. Nice choice. @1953panel: A friend of my older brother had one of these when I was young, and I fell in love with it. I didn't learn what year it was until I got a little older, and the search began. I soon found out how hard these were to find.

We southern bolters even have a little gathering in Columbia during the summer.
