I have a 327 eng.&3 speed in the 55 panel,i built a good set of front mounts.now I would like to use 700r4 tranny.would it be alright touse the front mounts and the tranny mount? or should I use side mounts?

You need side mounts. The distance between the front mounts and the rear transmission mount is to far. I've seen a number of cracked transmission cases from poor mounting setups.
