I have a 53 chevy 3100 does anyone know what battery will fit in the original location and also how many cold cranking amps and cc amps do I need for a 235 motor with a converted 12 v starter ?

As far as size you can just measure the dimensions of the battery box. My rule for CCA as passed down to me from my dad. The highest you can get in a battery that will fit where's it going. The higher you go won't hurt anything, just gives you more cranking power. I see you are in AZ, I'm in northern IL and I have a 700 to 800 CCA batteries in all of my vehicles for the climate we are in.
