The interior windshield trim on my 1950 3800 has two little clips, or retaining wires, on the underside of the trim (along with a couple of little foam pads that are glued in). The clips were on either side of the defroster vent opening. Any idea what those little clips do? They didn't appear to be attached to anything when I took the trim off. Any trim clip experts out there?

Perhaps that is what you are referring to. There are two on each side.
