Hello to all from Toronto.
Iam looking very much too checking out this vast amount of knowledge and info from what appears to be a great site.
I have owned many trucks since 1984, all GM. I did own about 5 years ago a 51 3100 and I have just this week taken into my possession a fairly rust free Alberta 3100 5 window. It is completely unmolested as it was from factory and runs good.
Iam going to do a factory spec restoration too it and thats where the Stovebolt comes in.

7998, welcome to the Stovebolt page and congratulations on finding such a nice truck. I think we all agree that when we find a nice one that is original its great to be able to keep it that way.
some pictures would be great when you can post them and for questions be sure to ask them in the most appropriate forums for the most and best results. Good luck and watch for other bolters from your area. They are some here for sure. Good luck.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

7998-

You're at the right place for original spec information; I second the picture request when you have a chance...

Good luck!

Well, it took John a little shy of a year to finish his restoration. He submitted this beauty for the 2016 calendar and we hunted him down for the story.

So besides the story on restoring this truck to original, he has some really nice photos in the Bolt Bucket. He has plenty more, so if you are looking for something about an original, he may have some pictures to help you out.

Hmmm ... I need to go back and check our Advance Design Spotters Guide tech tip and see what pictures we are missing there!! Hmmm ...

First truck in the 2016 Gallery!

Beautiful job, John. Maybe I'll get to see that truck some day. I'm not too far north of Toronto.

Looks beautiful.
I am in Burlington just down the road. Depending on where in the Big Smoke you are we might be able to meet in the middle somewhere when the season comes(?).
There are several other Bolters close by as well.
