My 51 3100 came with all the rubber gone from all pedals except the gas.I bought some from LMC and put them on clutch,brake and parking brake pedals. The brake pedal is still on but the clutch cover kept falling off.I tried using heat to get it to fit better but it eventually fell off again. Just recently,the one on the parking brake pedal fell off just from vibration of driving down a gravel road. I never use that one because the brake cables aren't in yet.Is there a set that fit better? Is there a trick to getting these to stay on?---Jack

....probably end up using some 3M Trim Adhesive. So much for aftermarket,huh.

EDIT: call the vendor back up and see what they say. "SOME" of the reputable ones may send you another set.

Put the repros on mine 10 years ago and 10,000miles ago and all
three are just fine, never moved a bit. Ya gotta be doin
somethin' wrong or you got some defective parts.

I also would like to know a good source for the Rubber Pedal Covers for my 1960 P-20 Van.

I bought some repro ones eight years ago and they were a little too small, and did not fit well at all. The Brake one would not stay on, and the Clutch one has stayed on but it is puckery and over-stretched to fit.

Jack,I had the same problem. I did what Alvin suggests and stuck them on except I used urethane.
Just another poorly fitting aftermarket part problem i'm afraid.

I'm still wondering if maybe one of the aftermarket part makers got it right.I can't imagine a truck that is beautifully restored with megabucks invested having such mickey moused fitting pedal covers. If not I'll just use glue.---Jack

Got mine from Classic Parts of America and they fit good and tight.

Well too, now that I have a 'Dremel', I guess I could remove a little material all around the inside of the ( slightly too small to fit right or fit at all ) Pedal Cover, and, then, maybe, get them to fit right.

I will look into the ones offered by 'Classic Parts' a couple Posts above...maybe just get some of those.

I wonder - were the Truck Pedal covers slightly different size from early to late '50s?

Mine were too small.They just don't fit.I even used a heat gun to soften one while I tried to fit it.They are too small to fit around all edges.
I notified LMC and they said I may have gotten mislabeled parts.The ones I got fit a newer model truck.I'll see when the new ones get here.---Jack

I am on my third set in 11,000 miles. Its the brake pad which fails and it could be because my foot hits it at an odd angle. Having said that the PO had glued the first set on.
