Has anyone advice on a backlite conversion for my 62?
A chap in Montana makes new inner panels for the large glass. But I do not have his contact Info.
Any help in this area will be appreciated.

Thanks, Howie

You can use any window of your choice. My 64 C20 happens to have a 71 Ford slider. We're pulling it to put in a one piece glass; no slider. It looks like the sheet metal was just cut to fit, and the window installed with a new seal (looks a bit flimsy to me but it's been in there a long time). It'll be interesting to see what they actually did when we pull the old window. The new one will be put in correctly regardless. I also installed one piece power side windows. What a project that was!

I made contact with Scott Hursh in Great Falls Mt.
His Classic Big Window.com has the info on what he makes.
Seems like a nice chap that enjoys old Chevys.

Just need an inner panel and glass from a donor truck.

Howdy Dez
Scott's contact is Classic Big Window.com
(406)781-1296 in Great Falls Mt.

He and his son are quite busy in there small restoration shop. He produces by hand a excellent replacement inner panel and template with instructions to modify your truck.

Good luck with your project. Howie

Here's Stovebolt member MyBlueChevy's page on the conversion. Using OEM inner sheet metal gives the finished product a factory look inside the cab.
