The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area General Truck Talk 3600 hub caps

I am pretty sure these didnt come with them from the factory, but I would like to install some anyway. Problem is the moon hubcaps wont fit due to the axle sticking out past the wheel so far. Has anyone come up with a workable solution?

The original caps on the 3600 were large enough to clear the hubs but some repops do not clear. I've used a spacer between wheel and drum to move wheel out. Now running repro of originals.

I take it the spacer doesnt cause any issues with the tire being too close to the fender? Mine is all in pieces currently getting painted this week so can't check.

Where did you order yours from? LMC?

where did you get the spacer, and do you know what size you had to use?

These 8 lug spacers come in various thicknesses, try tire shops or even on line. You can't go to thick with the spacer, limited by stud length. Also I used some peal and stick rubber weatherstrip on inside edge of cap to give a bit more space.
This was on my flatbed so have no fender to worry about.
