I'd like to install belts in the 1953 9300 GMC that I'm working on and wondered of anyone here has attempted that. My main concern is where to mount the top point of the belts.

I wan't answer you question directly, but another option is putting in seats with seat belts incorporated in the seat.

I took the seat belts, along with the seat, from a '91 Chevy full-size pickup and put them in my '53 3100. It worked fine. I would suppose the top point (meaning the shoulder harness) would matter where the seat is mounted and how the person is sitting in the seat. I mounted the seat first and then put the seatbelts in place around the seat.

I just did the Juliano's 3 point belt install and according to Deve's tip page. It was completed in a little more than 3 hours. I am quite pleased with the way the belts fit and feel. Jerry
