has anyone installed a windsheild washer on a 54/3100 and what did use? ron

Ron, can't help ya with the WW, suppose you would have to find one at a swap, that's what I've been keeping my eyes open for. I haven't seen any complete aftermarket kits although there are a few parts offered, like the bottles.
On another note, what's your secret to keeping two Rochester B's running, I'm having a hard enough time getting one to run out of the five I have on the bench.

Im thinkin of hittinm the salvage yard for a tank an pump outta small import ? ..i got the sprayers in the the cowl from PO..so just need to find somethin small to hide somewhere

Denny, they were originally ones i found on some extra engines i bought and mistakenly destroyed years ago. i the replaced the one that had a auto choke with a new one from autozone and had a mechanic balance it for me. i have no secret i just get lucky from time to time, at least with my truck. ron

Classic Parts (formerly Chevy Duty) has a universal pump for around $20. I haven't installed one and don't plan to, though; so, I don't know if it is any good.

54 was the first year that there was a cable that went from foot pump to windshield wiper motor to make wipers pass when pump is pressed. There are several parts for 54 that are different. I went through quite an ordeal gathering stuff to install washers on my 54 which I have not installed yet. Here is a link that may help you find stuff that you want. If you're not concerned about 100% authenticity, a tank from a '67-'72 works very nicely. That's what I used, along with a $12 universal Anco pump from Farm&Fleet.

I have e-mail addresses that will be tough to recover due to computer failure but there are 2 contacts that have been very helpful to me collecting the washer parts. Look up ebay seller carman726 who worked for Trico and knows much about washers and also oldcat5562 who deals in washer kits and parts and was also very fair with and helpful to me.
