Hi from Soldotna. I'm building a '48 Chev pickup that is extended 10', chopped 6 1/2' in the front, 4 1/2 in the back, handmade 1/4 windows, suicide doors and I'm using a 348 big block I'm going to punch out to 409.

I was referred by several people and will look into posting pictures.

Welcome to the Stovebolt. Sounds like a very interesting project your working on. Had a 348 tri power back in my days. I just love the looks of them.

Some pics would be great. If you have problems wait until you have made 4 post. New members are "moderated" until they have made 4 or 5 post and then you can send private messages and enjoy all things here on the bolt. check out the gallery, tech tips and such stuff. Lots of information here.

Not sure how far away you are but I know there are other Alaska bolters here......from Homer and Danali I believe.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Welcome E, those 348s-409s sure have a loyal bunch of followers. Be sure to check out the HiPo shop here on the forum.
