Even with a 14" wheel still touches my big belly . If 4" out of column it would work just fine.

They are much shorter because they used a dished steering wheel. I would need to measure some of my cores to tell you exactly how much, if you are interested.

My Blog | | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,212 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,212 | Dave, I think the 57-59 column is 3.5" shorter (the amount of the steering wheel dish) which keeps the actual rim of the steering wheel the same distance off the floor on all of the TF trucks. With that said, this swap could help Wanderer 1955 if he has a newer dished wheel on a 1955 TF truck, as the stock wheel was not dished.
