You need to have the proper air cleaner with the PCV hose connection. Its just in the manual that only COE's had PCV setups... regular cabs still used the draft tube.
For some reason its really hard to find a picture of an original COE w/motor... but I really didn't put much effort into it.
What year (or, years) are you referring to "only COEs had PCV setups"?
